I wear the colors of your flag today

Colors of another hope, another future

Color of the clear sky of my upcoming days

and of the sunshine that'll smile on my face

Color of cornflower, the symbol of requited love,

and of chrysanthemum, sign of optimism

Color of the sea that separates us,

and of the sand that connects us again

Color of thousand nights that will keep us safe,

and thousand mornings that greet us warmly

I wear the colors of your flag today

for it's the only way to show

the colors of my heart

Three Stages of Love

My fairy tale love was with a knight.
He stood under my window in the castle tower,
sang minstrels' songs of love and adventure.
I thought we would be inseparable forever,
kept pushing against the waves of old laws
in the world we live in.

My tough love came when my heart was kidnapped.
A barbarian chieftain wanted all of me for him only.
He fought many wars against the cross and himself.
I didn't know that my attempt to heal him
would hurt me in return.

My mature love is yet to come.
I see a son of king with wisdom in his mind
His word will heal my wounds from the past loves,
and his hands cradle me to thousand nights of sweet dream sleep.
I wish for courage to place my trust there.
