I sing a lay for the land of dream:
Where the rivers keep flowing and gleam
And the golden sun never stop her light
Nor the white dim stars to brighten the night
The morning dew and those greenish hills
There live my friends, the merry hole-folk
Outside their doors to go to the mills
Back to the far land, the people tell more
About the fair folk and wonderful tale
Come here and there to reach the sea shore
Kingdom of wonder beyond the sky pale
There live a king in the fairest land
Own he a high throne and a mighty sword
Men of honour reached the golden sand
In long years ere him to proclaim the word
Deep in the caves of the precious stone
Dwell the dwarf lords in glittering hall
Long may the time till the quest well done
Ere the world get their best dreams and all
End of all ways may the wisest know
And until that I'll let my life flows
Runaway to walk my path on the land
To release myself from the nightmare's hand
Here I end my lay for the land of dream
